At 14 years old, I moved away from home in Los Angeles to attend boarding school for hockey. It was a big step. I was living on my own while balancing school, training, and life without my family around every day. That decision forced me to grow up fast and taught me discipline, independence, and the importance of staying present. I was drafted 16th overall in the first round by the Red Deer Rebels in the WHL, and 36th overall by the Sioux Falls Stampede of the United States Hockey League. Now, four years later, I am playing in my first year of juniors for the Stampede.
I’m also committed to Western Michigan University, where I’ll continue my hockey and academic career.
Hockey has always been my first love but I grew up in a household surrounded by clothing, design, and creativity, which has shaped how I see style and self-expression. Being around the process of creating and seeing ideas come to life in finished pieces taught me that what you wear can represent who you are and how you live, not just what’s trending.
Outside of hockey, I spend my free time surfing, fishing, spear fishing, and playing golf. Being outside helps me reset, stay grounded, and keep perspective. Those moments remind me that balance matters just as much as work.
Through the highs and lows that come with chasing a dream, one idea has stayed constant for me has been : “Be where your feet are”.
When you’re far from home and focused on long-term goals, learning to stay locked into the moment you’re in matters more than anything else.
Solls was built from that mindset. It’s an everyday lifestyle brand created to be worn through real life: early mornings, long days, time outside, and everything in between. It’s not about trends or being flashy. It’s about representing how I live and what I believe in.
Because the moment only matters if you’re actually there.
Be where your feet are.
